9:00 AM – FREE EVENT: REGISTRATION -DOORS OPEN AND REGISTRATION BEGINS
9:00 AM – 4:45 PM – FILM SCREENING

Hi, my name is Patricia Ferguson. I am Founder and President of Equity Films, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We are so proud to present the 4th Annual Pecan Pickling Film Festival hosted in Bertie County, NC. Bertie is a picturesque community in the heartland of undiscovered and underrepresented creativity and innovation. This rural agrarian majority-African American community and region stands ready to explore the potential of the film industry.

The showcase of independent films is our way of attracting filmmakers and industry professionals. It signals that talent is here and can grow and mature here…produce here; enabling creatives to build a promising future and remain here.
With a county history of of tenant farming and hard work, the present generation stands ready to learn and transfer skills to help themselves, and the BIG SCREEN thrive! Our goal is a film ecosystem and workforce development that attracts smaller productions from across the world with a budget of $5 and under.
